Las Cruces firefighters assisted Doña Ana County with a residential structure fire late Wednesday evening.
Firefighters were asked to provide mutual aid to County Fire just before midnight Wednesday, May 13, on the 7100 block of MacArthur Road.
Two Engines and a Battalion assisted the county units with a mobile home that was heavily engulfed upon arrival.
County fire arrived and quickly extinguished the bulk of the fire. LCFD and county crews remained on scene for an extended amount of time, overhauling and conducting a thorough secondary search of the affected structure. County fire is currently investigating the cause of the fire in conjunction with the Sheriff’s department.
