Peachtree Canyon Apartments Phase 1 Ribbon Cutting

A ribbon cutting ceremony for the Peachtree Canyon Apartments Phase 1 will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 4936 Peachtree Hills Road.

This new affordable housing community serving Las Cruces was proudly co-developed by New Mexico Housing & Community Development Corporation (NMHCDC) and Thomas Development Group.

Invited speakers include: Mayor Eric Enriquez; City Councilor Becky Corran; NM Representative Nathan Small; Dona Ana County Commissioner Susana Chaparro; Housing NM executive director Isidoro Hernandez; and Thomas Development Group founder Thomas Andrews.

The first phase of the apartments will include 72 one-bedroom, 60 two-bedroom, and 12 three-bedroom units. Among the features offered by the apartment complex are a pool, age-appropriate playgrounds, and a community building. Additionally, the apartments will operate entirely on electricity.

Funding was made possible through Low-Income Housing Tax Credits from Housing New Mexico, along with support from the City of Las Cruces, the State of New Mexico and Doña Ana County.

Designed by Perlman Architects of Arizona and constructed by Pavilion Construction, this project reflects a strong partnership committed to expanding high-quality, affordable housing in our community. This ribbon cutting ceremony will be broadcast on the City’s YouTube channel and on the City of Las Cruces Facebook Page.
