Police to Host Town Hall Meeting Jan. 15

Las Cruces police will host an interactive Town Hall Meeting Jan. 15 to present annual crime statistics and discuss other trends that present challenges for the community.
 
The Town Hall Meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, in Council Chambers at Las Cruces City Hall, 700 N. Main St. The meeting is anticipated to last about two hours.
 
The meeting will begin with a brief presentation of crime statistics from 2025. Chief Jeremy Story will also discuss juvenile crime and the rates of recidivism in Las Cruces.
 
The meeting will serve as an opportunity for residents to connect with LCPD officials, ask questions and contribute to the ongoing efforts to help promote a safer community. Las Cruces police encourage residents and business owners to attend and provide their feedback.
 
For those who cannot attend in-person, the meeting will be televised live on CLCTV, Comcast Cable channel 20-SD and 928-HD. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the City’s YouTube channel and on the Las Cruces Police Department’s Facebook page.
