Local community leaders join together in 2026 2026 to Bring Music, Fashion in support of Hearts for Autism in Southern New Mexico
LAS CRUCES, NM — Las Cruces will turn up the volume for a powerful cause on Saturday, April 11, 2026, when Rock the Runway 2026, a high-energy, music-themed fashion show benefiting Hearts for Autism, takes over the Las Cruces Convention Center.
The one-night event, created and produced by local advocate Jeffrey Silva, is inspired by his son Zane, an adult on the autism spectrum whose life and journey have helped ignite Silva’s mission to build a more inclusive and supportive community for individuals and families affected by autism. Rock the Runway is more than a fashion show. It is a celebration of individuality, resilience, and the families impacted by autism every day.
From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests will enjoy an exclusive VIP Social Hour, giving attendees time to connect, mingle, and enjoy the atmosphere before the main event. The runway show will begin at 7:30 p.m., allowing guests time to
arrive, get seated, and fully experience the night.
The runway will come alive with bold, creative, and music-inspired fashion as models showcase looks that reflect the energy, diversity, and spirit of the community.
What makes Rock the Runway especially powerful is who is walking the catwalk. The models are notable changemakers from across the Las Cruces community, including leaders, advocates, business owners, first responders, educators, and local voices who are using their platforms to create positive impact. Each step they
take on the runway represents support for autism acceptance, services, and families in Southern New Mexico. “All of this started with my son, Zane,” said Silva. “He taught me what true strength looks like. Rock the Runway is
about celebrating individuals like him and making sure every person on the spectrum is seen, supported, and
valued.”
Proceeds from the event will benefit Hearts for Autism, helping provide support, advocacy, and programming for individuals with autism and their families.
Guests can expect an unforgettable evening of music, high-energy runway moments, community storytelling, and philanthropy with purpose.
